Reypenaer Cheese

The Dutch make great cheese.

We stock one year as well as the two year V.S.O.P. , and three year X.O. wedges. The range of flavours that develop from the soft, creamy base is amazing.

We highly recommend the two-year old Reypenaer VSOP Gouda. It has a deep caramel flavour, and it is a revelation!

Loch Arthur Farmhouse Cheese

Produced by Loch Arthur Creamery from cow’s milk, Loch Arthur Farmhouse Cheese is a traditional cloth-bound cheddar cheese with firm texture.

We stock it in three varieties; Mature (12 months), Vintage (18 months) or with Mixed Herbs or Caraway in cylindrical shape.

The cheese is a slightly dry and somewhat nutty in taste. It goes beautifully with a Ruby port.

Strathearn Cheese

Strathearn Cheese Co. is a new cheese-maker, operating near Comrie in Perthshire.

Their three principal cheeses are the Strathearn, the Lady Mary & Wee Comrie.

The Strathearn is a rennet set cheese made with pasteurised cow’s milk cheese.

The cheeses are matured for 4 weeks and washed in a Glenturret 10 year old single malt whisky flavoured brine, every other day.

Semi-soft in texture and quite lactic, the body contrasts beautifully with the flavoursome rind.
